During Eramet’s participation in the Corporate Social Responsibility Summit on July 7 and 8, Christel Bories discussed the Group’s CSR vision for Africa.

For its very first edition, the Corporate Social Responsibility Summit (Africa – France – Europe), organized by Affectio Mutandi, brought together a selection of major players in Africa (companies, governments, and other stakeholders). All shared a commitment to making CSR their central concern in order to achieve sustainable economic and social development, in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Eramet subsidiaries Comilog (Gabon) and Grande Côte Opérations (GCO – Senegal) were on hand to present their respective CSR programs: Leod-Paul Batolo, Director and CEO of Comilog, and Aliou Ba, Public Affairs & CSR Reporting Coordinator at GCO, participated in the “The time of shared prosperity” and “The time of societal innovation” panels, respectively.

During this unprecedented event, Christel Bories, Chairwoman and CEO of the Eramet Group, detailed her vision of CSR in Africa during a discussion with Virginie Mounanga, CEO of Blanc Cristal Expertise and strategic communications consultant for The World Bank:

 

The Corporate Social Responsibility Summit took place on July 7 and 8, 2021 via video conference, notably in Lomé (Togo), Dakar (Senegal), Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso), Abidjan (Côte d’Ivoire), Libreville (Gabon), Kinshasa (Congo), and Paris (France).
