In a show of solidarity, GCO employees have renewed their support for the daaras in Diogo and the surrounding area through their Islamic Education Support Fund (FSEI). With the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, the FSEI has greatly increased its budget for food donations to help its beneficiaries meet their basic needs during the health crisis.
A total of six local daaras have each received a free health kit with rice, oil, dates, sugar, and coffee.
These daaras are: daara oustaz ngagne mbaye in Diogo, daara Dieynaba sow in Mboro, daara Ablaye Mbaye in Darou Khoudoss, daara Mor diop in Ndomor, daara Baba Dieng in Tivaouane, and daara Abdou wahab gadiaga Ngay in Mekhé.
This service project bolsters the company’s CSR efforts, which are part of the Eramet Group’s sustainable development vision for its host communities.
