GCO answered the call issued by the President of Senegal, His Excellency Mr Macky Sall, by disbursing 500,000,000 CFA francs (€760,000) to combat the coronavirus pandemic. The president had previously called on the nation’s stakeholders to contribute to the national effort.
GCO’s financial contribution once again reflects its commitment to helping the Senegalese government beat the pandemic. This aid complements the substantial support provided directly to the communities around the company’s production site.
GCO once again confirms that it is highly invested in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), which represents a strategic pillar for ensuring the socio-economic development of its host communities, while also responding to the local population’s present concerns during the global health crisis.
